Services – LCCC

The Louisville Central Community Center helps thousands of individuals and families each year in the areas of early childhood education, youth development, employment and homeownership, and civic engagement. We offer a variety of programs and services in support of children and families. Arts education and other after-school programs, employment services and job training for adults, financial education and homeownership are just some of the services provided.

Childhood Development

LCCC provides private, early childhood education for young children at two Kentucky state-licensed child development centers. Both centers, Mini-Versity Downtown and Mini-Versity West, offer accredited, full-day child care programs with a focus on reading and arts education.

Youth Development

We are committed to improving the academic achievement and social well being of our youth. We offer programs for youth ranging from ages 6 to 18. These activities promote leadership and team building among neighborhood youth.

Adult Services

Our adult services include workforce development, job readiness skills training, on-the-job training, job search and placement support. Our goal is to provide a variety of adult educational opportunities as we advocate for families and the community.

Economic Mobility

We believe entrepreneurship, effective money management, and homeownership are important for all families who seek to build personal wealth and to help their neighborhood become economically vibrant.

Community Development

Louisville Central Development Corporation (LCDC) was created by LCCC in 1991 with a mission of promoting and fostering economic and housing development projects.

Annual & Quarterly Reports

Our community moved forward with the planning of the two bridges, the construction of the University of Louisville basketball arena downtown, and a host of other economic development projects including our own Old Walnut Street project.
