Ta\’Mia Malone is a LCCC Kids Art Academy participant. She is currently a senior at Central High School. Ta\’Mia is a high-achieving youth with several accomplishments. At Central, she is active in extracurricular activities such as, the Black Student Union, Gospel Choir, Yearbook Staff Member, the school\’s newspaper staff member, and Central High School\’s Marching Band as an auxiliary member of the Twirlettes (Flags). She is a participant in the mayor\’s global challenge \”The Butterfly Project\” through Bellarmine University. This project allows for Ta\’Mia to collect data for social injustice. Thanks to her classmates and peers at Central High School, she was crowned Basketball Homecoming Queen. If that wasn\’t enough, Ta\’Mia was accepted into four universities, but accepted a full-ride scholarship to Tennessee State University where she plans to attend in the fall of 2022. At TSU, she will major in Business Administration and Journalism. Ta\’Mia\’s goals are to become an author and write books for POC children simply because all children deserve representation.
