The Russell Neighborhood Capacity Building Project is seeking to place two VISTA Community Impact Ambassadors (CIA) at Louisville Central Community Center (LCCC) to provide capacity building, coordination and support services for family service programs and community development projects that empower community residents toward achieving economic stability.
Interested candidates serve a twelve (12) month assignment to strengthen the Russell and surrounding west Louisville neighborhoods by helping key anchor community institutions to be more effective in addressing critical issues that inhibit the economic mobility of low-income children and families.
The VISTA CIA assignment engages internal and external affairs for LCCC to achieve: community needs assessments; resource development initiatives; community outreach and stakeholder engagement; marketing and promotion of program activities and events; coordination of online activities, blogging and content management; community partnership building; development of curriculum materials and program activity plans; development of worksheets, toolkits, evaluation instrumentation, development of client success stories; and development of community/program impact statements and reports.
